Information about personal data submitted through this website.
Draft policy: Bright Futures must confirm its legal identity, privacy contact, retention periods and hosting arrangements before this website starts collecting enquiries.
Who is responsible for your information?
Bright Futures is responsible for the personal information collected through its enquiry forms. The full legal name and postal address of the data controller must be added before launch.
Privacy contact: sponsors@brightfuture-kids.org .
Information we collect
Forms ask for your name, email address, organisation or school, an optional telephone number and your message. School and sponsorship forms also ask for a postcode. School forms ask about topics of interest.
Please do not submit children’s personal information or sensitive personal data.
How we use it
We use enquiry information to respond to questions, discuss booklet requests or sponsorship, and maintain relevant correspondence. Submitting a form does not subscribe you to marketing.
Lawful basis
For general and school enquiries, our intended lawful basis is legitimate interests in answering enquiries and administering the service. For sponsorship enquiries that involve requested steps towards a contract, the applicable basis may be steps taken at your request before entering into a contract. Bright Futures must confirm the applicable bases and document any necessary legitimate interests assessment before launch.
Hosting and form processing
If published using the recommended Netlify configuration, Netlify hosts the website and processes form submissions on our behalf. Hosting may involve technical information such as IP addresses and request logs.
Before launch, Bright Futures must review the provider’s processing terms, subprocessors, storage locations and any safeguards needed for international transfers, and update this policy to reflect the actual arrangements.
How long we keep information
Enquiry information should be retained only for as long as needed for the enquiry and applicable record-keeping obligations. Specific retention periods and deletion procedures must be confirmed and added before launch.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your data, restrict processing, object to processing or request data portability. Contact Bright Futures using the verified privacy contact once it has been added.
You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
